Paintings Pre 1985

These galleries contain images dating back to the early sixties. The first paintings were poetic gouache abstract landscapes followed by a spell of pop art paintings. One of the largest was a 4-ft. high detailed depiction of lapsang souchong tea leaves. There were giant coffee beans, blades of grass, cigarettes with ashtrays, and lipsticks among others.

This gave way in the early 70s to detailed landscapes of West Cork painted ‘en plein air’.
